Terms and Conditions
Effective September 29, 2026
These terms govern your use of FedPlan’s website and retirement-planning service. Please read them before creating an account.
Public beta acknowledgment
FedPlan is currently a public beta. We work to make its calculations reliable, but features, assumptions, and calculations are still being tested and improved. Errors, omissions, interruptions, and changes to results may occur. By agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge the public beta status and the limitations below.
A starting point for planning
FedPlan is an educational retirement-planning tool. Its calculations, projections, scenario comparisons, and AI-assisted explanations are estimates intended as a starting point for further planning. They are not a definitive calculation of your exact tax situation, a tax return, an official benefit determination, or a guarantee of future income, investment returns, or retirement outcomes.
Double-check before making decisions
You are responsible for checking the information you enter, connected-account data, assumptions, and results. Independently verify all figures that matter to your decisions using current account statements, official tax and benefit information, and qualified professionals as appropriate. Do not rely solely on FedPlan to file a tax return, change withholding, convert or withdraw retirement funds, choose investments, claim benefits, or decide when to retire.
Calculation limitations
Results depend on the completeness and accuracy of your inputs and on modeling assumptions. Tax and benefit rules can change, and updates may not be reflected immediately. Your actual situation may involve federal, state, or local provisions, deductions, credits, income timing, account basis, carryovers, penalties, or benefit eligibility rules that the model does not fully capture. Projections simplify uncertain future conditions, including inflation, investment returns, spending, and lifespan. Displaying a precise dollar amount does not make a result exact.
No professional advice or government affiliation
FedPlan does not provide individualized tax, legal, investment, or accounting advice, and using it does not create an adviser-client or other professional relationship. Consult a qualified tax professional, financial adviser, attorney, or your benefits office when appropriate. FedPlan is not affiliated with or endorsed by the IRS, OPM, the TSP, the Social Security Administration, or any government agency.
Your account and acceptable use
Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and use FedPlan only for lawful purposes. Do not attempt to access another person’s data, bypass security or access restrictions, disrupt the service, or misuse connected accounts. You must be legally able to agree to these terms.
Privacy and connected services
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information. Optional account connections and other third-party services may be subject to their own terms. Connected balances and transactions may be delayed or incomplete; review them against your institution’s records. AI-generated text can contain mistakes and must also be checked.
Free access
Your 7 days of full free access start after your first successful retirement simulation. No credit card is required, and no subscription or automatic charge begins when the free week ends. You can continue viewing saved results afterward. Running new simulations after free access ends requires a paid membership. Existing early users receive their free week after their next successful simulation under this offer.
Subscriptions and cancellation
If you choose a paid subscription or trial, the price, billing interval, trial duration, and renewal terms shown at checkout apply. Unless canceled before the applicable renewal or trial deadline, subscriptions renew and any disclosed trial converts to paid service as described at checkout. Manage or cancel your subscription through your account’s billing controls. Cancellation stops future renewals; any refund rights are governed by the offer presented at purchase and applicable law.
Availability and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, FedPlan is provided as available, without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular decision. You remain responsible for decisions you make using the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, remedies, or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Updates to these terms
We may revise these terms as the service evolves and will post the updated terms and effective date here. Where required, we will provide notice or request renewed agreement. The version you accepted is identified by the effective date. You may stop using FedPlan if you do not agree to updated terms.
