Privacy Policy
Effective September 4, 2026
This policy explains how FedPlan collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our website and retirement-planning service.
Information we collect
We collect the information you provide to create an account and run a retirement simulation, including contact details, household and employment information, financial assumptions, account balances, and planning goals. If you connect a financial institution, we receive account and balance information through Plaid. We do not receive your bank login credentials. We also collect subscription records and limited device, usage, and diagnostic information.
How we use information
We use your information to authenticate you, save and calculate your plan, provide account connections and subscription services, improve and secure FedPlan, communicate with you about the service, and comply with legal obligations. Information submitted to AI-assisted features may be processed by our AI service providers to produce the response you request.
Service providers
We use service providers to operate FedPlan, including Clerk for authentication, Google when you choose Google sign-in, Stripe for payments, Plaid for optional account connections, PostHog for product analytics, and infrastructure, database, email, and AI providers. They may process information only as needed to provide their services to us.
Sharing and sale
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers, when you direct us to, to protect FedPlan or others, or when required by law. We may also disclose information in connection with a business transfer, subject to appropriate protections.
Your choices
You may update account details and planner information in FedPlan, disconnect linked institutions, and request access to or deletion of your personal information. You can also control certain analytics through your browser settings.
Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We retain information for as long as needed to provide FedPlan, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements, then delete or de-identify it when appropriate.
Children
FedPlan is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as FedPlan evolves. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date.
